WHSC Holds Events to Address Homelessness

The Wyandotte Homeless Services Coalition (WHSC) has been busy raising community awareness of the plight of the homeless.

In addition, the Coalition is also raising funds for homeless projects. On Thursday, July 28th, members of the Coalition served food at Culvers from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Culvers graciously donated 10% of the proceeds of food sales during the time period.

Coming up next, the Coalition will be at the T-Bones Community America Park on Saturday, August 6th at 7:05 p.m. game with the El Paso Diablos.

Mayor Joe Reardon will also be in attendance to provide a few remarks to fans about the Coalition’s efforts and the issues of homelessness in our community. The Coalition will will also be present to provide written information about homelessness.

Also immediately following the game, T-Bones management will hold their first Family Night Campout. The campout will be on the outfield grass. A movie will be shown on the Big Board and breakfast will be served. The Coalition will receive part of the Campout fees.

So we hope that you come out to the T-Bones game and join in our efforts to fight homelessness in our county.
